Original period manufacture. A very clean example with a bright steel blade running straight and true with no issues beyond an old cleaning. Clear markings on both sides of the ricasso as shown. Gilded brass guard and pommel with its original leather wrapped grip with single strand wire binding. The steel scabbard is pretty much dent-free and presents an even steel patina. There are patches of old cleaned corrosion but nothing serious. Classic American Cavalryweapon from 1860-1906.
