Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 34.5 inches in length, running fairly straight and true, with an even steel patina finish to the surface. Dated 1865 A.G.M. on the obverse ricasso, and on the reverse, ROBY, Chelmsford Mass. Mellow brass patina finish to the guard, leather wrapped grip bound with a single strand of twisted brass wire. The buff leather bumper is present at the base of the blade. No scabbard. Nice clear markings.
