Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 34.5 inches in length, running straight and true. The blade surface is bright and clean, no nicks in the cutting edge, the point is slightly blunted. 1864 AGM on one side and ROBY on the other.The three branch guard has a pleasing mellow patina finish, with portions of the leather bumper remaining. Most of the original leather covering remains on the grip and the twisted brass wire binding is intact.Dark steel patina finish to the steel scabbard, which has a dusting of light surface corrosion.The blade can be inserted, and drawn easily from the scabbard.
