Original era manufacture. Here's a fun project at a decent price; original Civil War 1860 cavalry sword made by Mansfield & Lamb and dated 1865, inspector initials of C.E.W. at the ricasso. The blade runs 32.5 inches in length with deeply stamped markings on each side of the ricasso. Steel patina finish, sharp point and the blade runs straight and true.Mellow patina to the guard and pommel cap. Steel patina finish to the original scabbard, displaying surface denting to the leading edge of the scabbard body near the drag.The grip needs to be replaced to put humpty-dumpty back together again.
