Original era manufacture. A German made sword simply marked Solingen with a brass proof disc on the obverse. The steel blade displays etched martial designs on each side of the blade, with an overall measurement of 32 inches; it runs straight and true. No blade issues to report beyond a shallow nick or two, with some light age staining visible.The decorative steel guard displays a large US eagle, with a patina finish displaying evidence of old cleaned corrosion. Sound fishskin grip bound with triple strand wire. Double suspension ring steel scabbard, with a few surface dents and a dark steel patina finish mixed with old surface corrosion.
