Original period manufacture. Framed document of an 1863 medical discharge of one, Corporal Marshall Dexter, 12th Rgt NH Vols in January of 1863. The document has been folded at one time, now nicely framed. Signed by the commander of the Regiment, Major George D. Savage, who was wounded during the battle of Chancellorsville in 1863.
