Original period manufacture. Colorful Civil War patriotic envelope with Lady Liberty on the left side, cancelled stamp in the upper right corner.This was addressed to J.C. Kintner (Jacob C. Kintner) of Pittston Pennsylvania. Jacob Kintner later joined the Union Army, and became a Captain in the 109th USCT in 1864.The small broadside was in the envelope at the time of our purchase, and presents details regarding the opening of the Union Hall, Tunkhannock Pa on July 4th 1861. Folded as shown.
