Item #69667 : Original period manufacture. Lot of three Civil War patriotic envelopes, two addressed to William C. Tracy, the third to a Mrs Edward Wardner, both individuals residing in the state of Vermont. William Carter Tracy served in the 4th Vermont Infantry, and held the rank of Captain. He was killed on the 23rd of June 1864 at the Battle of Weldon Railroad. A disastrous day for the Vermont Brigade during the Civil War.
