Original era manufacture. A very sound, black bridle leather cap box with both belt loops intact. Clear makers marks and Ordnance stamp on the interior cover. Lambs wool interior is intact, with its original wire vent pick in place. Purchased as part of the collection of a 94 year old local WWII veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life.
