 Original period manufacture. Black bridle leather pouch with its belt loops intact. The lower portion of the closure tab is pulled away but is present so can be repaired. Clear markings on the outer and inner flaps. Old piece of paper inside the pouch provides the name of a New Jersey soldier and the date 1861.
