A near new condition set of reproduction Federal infantryman's basic equipment. The lot includes the following, issue canteen with blue wool cover and white cotton strap, 1858 pattern cartridge box & sling, with tins and both the box plate and sling plate, waistbelt with belt plate and cap box, tarred haversack with issue type cup and plate with an original period knife and fork, wooden musket tompion. Checking online at a popular Civil War uniform & equipment supplier, when purchased today, this grouping would be over $500. From the estate of a man who reenacted in the 1980's.
