Original period manufacture. Late 19th century printed copy of Lee's Farewell Address to the Army of Northern Virginia in April 1865. This emotive farewell is a well recorded statement of Lee's gratitude and love for the men who so faithfully served during that terrible struggle. Possibly printed by A. Hoen & Company, Baltimore, 1866, as I found a similar example online. Frame measures 15 x 13 inches, with modern suspension brackets on the reverse.
