Original era manufacture. Polished steel blade measuring 34.5 inches in length, running straight and true. The blade surface is bright and clean, really remarkable for it's age, no nicks in the cutting edge. The point is quite sharp, the only detractions being some minor surface corrosion staining on both sides towards the point, and evidence of a poor attempt at cleaning the steel in this area. The original leather bumper is present at the base of the blade, with faint lettering proclaiming the name of Sheble & Fisher Philadelphia on the reverse ricasso. Heavy cast brass guard and pommel cap. The grip has lost all of it's leather covering exposing the carved wood body beneath. Amazingly the original wire and cord guides remain intact. Heavy steel scabbard with two suspension rings, displaying minor scattered surface denting and a steel patina finish. Decent restoration project, the blade is very clean.
