Original era manufacture. A remarkably intact example, complete with an original attaching tab included. The shoulder scale is accompanied by an old handwritten tag stating that it was recovered near True Blue Virginia. Forming part of Orange County Va, True Blue lies in the heart of Civil War country, a few miles southwest of Washington DC, and northwest of Richmond.Purchased as part of the collection of a 94 year old local WWII veteran, who collected Civil War memorabilia for most of his life.
