Original period manufacture. Classic Civil War enlisted buckle featuringan oval shaped, stamped brass US, with a lead filled reverse. The mounting attachments are the earlier style oval studs, and a tapered brass hook.Typical age and wear, with denting to the front of the buckle, no corrosion issues, and overall is quite sound with a nice brass patina finish.
