Original period manufacture. Classic Civil War enlistedbuckle featuring an oval shaped, stamped brass US, with a lead filled reverse. The mounting attachments are the earlier style oval studs, with a tapered brass hook.Typical age and wear, withdenting to the front of the buckle, no corrosion issues, and overall is quite sound with a nice old brass patina finish.
