Original era manufacture. Oxidized lead bullet, with a zinc disc. The purpose of these particular bullets was to remove the build-up of black powder residue from muzzle loading rifles. When fired, the zinc disc would scrape the residue away as it traveled down the barrel. Must have been pretty hard on the rifling. If memory serves, one of these was included in every packet of 10 cartridges.
