Original period manufacture. Blue wool felt cloverleaf measuring 1.5 inches in width, brown polished cotton reverse. At one time the edge was piped in gold thread, traces of which remain. Mothing to the surface as shown. Normally I cast a jaundiced eye on badges like this, but not in this instance, I like it, had a place in our own collection for several years. Removed from a hat, likely a G.A.R. piece, possibly wartime.
