Original period manufacture. 1882 dated Morgan Silver Dollar, minted at the Philadelphia Mint. 90% silver coin. In the Arizona Territory, the Battle of the Big Dry Wash was fought east of Fort Verde, on the 17th of July 1882. Units of the US Cavalry from Fort Apache engaged Apache Warriors led by Na-tio-tish. This fight marked the last major battle between the US Army and Apache warriors in Arizona.
