Original era manufacture. An excellent quality German made sword and imported by Hilborn Hamburger Inc. of New York. 30 inch chromed steel blade with etched panels on each side. The blade runs straight and true, with no corrosion issues.Gilded finish to the brass guard and pommel, white plastic, imitation fishskin grip, bound with triple strand wire.Original gold brocade and bullion sword knot wrapped around the guard, the tassle ends are loose. Black leather covered steel scabbard with bright finis to the brass fittings. A very clean example of the classic Navy officers sword.
