Original era manufacture. A Cold War Era, USAF Woman Officers coat, identified to Major Anne Krizanauskas USAF (Ret).She was born in 1913 and passed in 2008. During WWII she enlisted in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, and was commissioned a second lieutenant less than a year later. She served in the WAAC until it was disbanded and replaced with Womans Army Corps.In June of 1948 when the US Army Air Corps was divided from the Army, becoming the United States Air Force, women were awarded Regular Army and Air Force status at that time. During her service, Major Krizanauskas served overseas in Germany, Great Britain, France and Morocco.She was awarded The Meritorious Service and Force Commendation Medals, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupational Medal (Germany), National Defense Medal, Air Force Longevity Award with 4 bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Medal for Humane Action Women's Army Corps Service Medal, The Berlin Airlift Device, The US Treasury Department Service Award and the National Red Cross Appreciation Award. Anne was also one of the first inductees into the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame. She retired as a Major after 33 years in the service.About a size 5, normal age and wear.
