Original era manufacture. US cold war USS Marvin Shields trouser buckle. Chromed brass buckle with a profile of the ship attached to the front. USS Marvin Shields was a Knox Class frigate launched in 1969. She was named for CM3 Marvin Shields, a Seabee, who was awarded the Medal of Honor for bravery during the battle for Dong Xoai Vietnam, June 9th 1965. He died of his wounds and is buried in Gardiner Washington.
