Original era manufacture. What we have in hand is an early 20th Century fraternal frock coast made by the firm of Pasquale in San Francisco, but transformed into a Civil War pattern general officers coat. The fine grade wool material is black rather than dark blue, but honestly the difference is not that noticeable. Fine quality black velvet covered collar and cuffs, with Army Staff Officer buttons throughout, those being spaced properly for a general officer. Nice early pair of Major General shoulder straps of a matching age and quality. Size about a 40 regular. We have priced this according to what a new made, excellent quality reproduction would cost to have made today. Really a fine quality coat and looks like the real deal and is quite impressive for display.
