Original era manufacture. Without a doubt, this is one of the "coolest" US Aviation helmets we have ever offered. Standard tan canvas flight helmet with the "volcano" style post production installed electronics earcups. Each earcup holds a Type TH-37 receiver with black rubber connector. On the crown of the helmet is the Pilot's call sign or nickname "Yo Yo", and hanging from the bottom of the rear goggle support strap is a vintage wooden Yo-Yo. There is an inkstamped marking inside the helmet, 50-96-B. Included with the helmet, is a pair of AN-6530 pattern goggles, these are unmarked, black elastic headband and green tinted lenses. The helmet shows considerable evidence of wear, sweat staining, and light fraying to the edges. Really wish this one could talk..should be an interesting research project.
