Original period manufacture. Two pre-WWI US Navy official publications, "Regulations Governing the Uniform of Commissioned Officers, Warrant Officers and Enlisted Men of the Navy of the United States 1905". The second "The Recruits Handy Book United States Navy 1910". The uniform book is hardbound, english text of 54 pages of regulations with 32 black & white uniform plates. The book measures 6x9.25 inches. Sound overall, with one loose page and several extra circulars and additions slipped inside the covers. The second is a pocket size manual with cloth covers, "The Recruits Handy Book United States Navy 1910". The basic manual for an enlisted sailor prior to WWI. English text, 102 pages, lots of illustrations, shows honest wear and use. The uniform regulations book is an excellent reference source on a greatly overlooked subject matter.
