Item #69678 : Original period manufacture. This well used example retains several original unit stenciled markings, Company I 26th Regiment 56th soldier, the U.S. is very faded and faint but there. The cover is water stained from use but the perimeter stitching remains intact. The cork stopper is a wine bottle replacement, but the hardware is original, the linked chain is wired to the loop. The body has numerous dents attesting to hard service use, but overall it remains pretty presentable in my view.
