Original period manufacture. Dark blue pressed wool felt body with brass trim. Simple brown leather sweatband. Assembled from surplus parts as most of these tend to be. Overall in very clean condition, there is a small metal spacer in the crown, used to tighten up the fit of the spike to the base.
