Original period manufacture. Standard M1873 bayonet with a blue finish, US marked on the ricasso. Blue steel finished scabbard with an original 1874 pattern frog at the throat. The socket fits the barrel of a rifle properly, but stops about 1/4 of an inch from seating properly. Otherwise honest age and wear.
