US Indian War Era, M1889 Forage Cap

Original era manufacture. An enlisted quality hat with a bound visor edge, sporting staff officer buttons and gold wire cord. The interior of the hat has a black painted leather disc in the crown, with black cotton lining. No trace of the leather sweatband remains. The cap body has toned to a blackish-green color, but the original blue color can be seen on the inside of the hat, back of the visor. No moth issues to report, however there is a thin, 10mm curved slice in the wool on the upper right edge of the crown.
