Original era manufacture. Wrap brooch suspension, with original ribbon. Numbered on the edge 2165. Authorized in 1905, The US Mint produced around 2,000 medals marked on the edge No.1 through No.1927. Additional demand required the mint to produce an additional 1,750 medals, which also were numbered beginnie with the prefix MNo. A final run of 250 medals were produced under private contract with un-prefixed serial numbers.
