Original era manufacture. A Civil War bullseye canteen, recovered postwar in tan canvas with a stenciled U.S. on the front. The concentric rings of the canteen body are easily visible beneath the tan cover. The canteen is complete with it's cork stopper with chain, one link is broken. Also included is a correct pattern thin leather canteen strap.
