Original era manufacture. First issue knife which became available around 1885. Cast steel grips with a 5.25 inch blade with a U.S. proof on the reverse side. Scattered age corrosion, however the knife is sound with no heavy rust. Sometimes you will see these with patent informaton on the grips,this one is plain.
