Original era manufacture. I believe this is the second model pouch made in black leather, with two rows of 10 canvas loops for 45-70 cartridges. There is a brass escutcheon on the closure strap, and there are brass reinforcing staples in the two upper front corners of the cover.Clear Watervliet Arsenal markings on reverse at the base of the securing strap, and very clear US in an oval on the front side of the pouch. No internal pocket for a tool was provided with this model.Very sound pouch overall.
