Original era manufacture. This is an early example without the swell on one side to fit the rifle tool, as the later pouches have.All black leather construction, with two rows of 10 canvas loops for 45-70 cartridges. No brass escutcheon on the closure strap.Clear Watervliet Arsenal markings on reverse at the base of the securing strap, andvery clear US in an oval on the front side of the pouch. Very sound pouch overall.
