Original era manufacture. Dark blue wool covered corkt body in sound condition, no cracks or dents. Manufactured by Ridabock & Co of NY, white silk lining with a wide leather sweatband with a white ribbon decorative top edge. Complete with spike and base, two-piece officers quality Infantry officers plate with German silver numbers, Infantry side buttons, and brass linked, leather backed chinstrap. Minor scattered moth bites to the blue wool covering, along with some staining from where the chinstrap was placed over the years. There is a spot of wear to the helmet edge binding at the front of the visor area, otherwise intact. The underside of the visors are lined in green, with a black velvet edging to the bottom of the sweatband. Age split in the sweatband leather. Honest original helmet to an officer.
