Original period manufacture. A lot of five original correspondence postcards sent to the Colt Firearms Company of Hartford Connecticut 1883-1885.They were mailed by five different retailers with an assortment of requests for parts or assistance. One of particular interest was mailed by the gun department of Hibbard, Spencer & Bartlett Company of Chicago in 1885. They were placing an order on behalf of C.K. McCrum, Shoshone Indian Territory, for three cylinders for a 44 S.A. revolver.A google search reveals a C.K. McCrum, operating as a druggist in Boise Idaho, which became the 43rd state in 1890.
