Original period manufacture. An interesting notice of shipment, mailed to the Colt Patented Firearms Company of Harford Connecticut in 1883. The sender was the Schoverling, Daly & Gales firm of NY.They were notifying Colt of an order for four pistols.Nice little piece of postal history from one of the most famous gunmakers in the world.Typical handling and wear.
