Original era manufacture. This is an early example with the swell on one side to fit the rifle tool.All black leather construction, with two rows of 10 canvas loops for 45-70 cartridges. The closure securing strap looks to be an old replacement, no arsenal marking and the stitching is different. It is quite pliable and works just fine.A very clear US in an oval on the front side of the pouch.
