Original era manufacture. A regulation pattern dark blue body, with an bound,black painted leather visor with an adjustable leather chinstrap secured by two eagle buttons. Black silk lining with a black painted disc in the crown. Brown leather sweatband which is size marked 6 3/4, with silver printing on the right side, Horstmann Bros & Co. Philadelphia, Contract June 1891. Overall the hat is clean, no moth issues, the sweatband threads have loosened at the front and right side, otherwise complete. On the front of the cap you can see where insignia has been mounted at some point in the past.
