Original era manufacture. Sound C.J. Heller Contract 1896 marked leather sweatband, the body is in excellent condition with no cracks or dents. The edge binding is intact with no issues, just a little storage paper residue on the surface. The thin leather body band is intact, and with an original chinstrap and buckle to boot. Staff plate with German silver crossed signal flags, and stamped brass side buttons with a torch and crossed flags. Black horsehair plume with brass stem. A nice clean helmet. Assembled from original parts, at one time available from the venerable firms of Francis Bannerman and W. Stokes Kirk.
