Original period manufacture. Issue dark steel blue wool, double breasted overcoat, with a removable, cuff-length cape, which is lined in dark blue for Infantry. Full complement of brass eagle general service buttons, with a hooks & eyes present at the collar of the coat. Full body lining in black cloth, with white muslin lined sleeves. No markings visible. Light scattered mothing, nothing terrible, just what normally would be expected in a coat of this age. A scarce original example, of a hard to find regulation enlisted Infantry coat. Size about a 40 regular.
