Original era manufacture. Dark blue wool top with a black leather visor with an unbound edge. Black patent leather chinstrap secured with two brass general service buttons. Brown leather sweatband, black polished cotton lining. The hat is in overall good repair, there is some light scattered mothing to the top and the stitching around the top disc has begun to open up a bit. German silver number 4 at the front of the hat.
