Original era manufacture. Satin blue finish to the blade and socket with a light amount of surface wear, no surface corrosion, small spot of surface wear by the US proof. Sound black leather frog with the large brass hook designed to fit over the top of the canvas cartridge belt.Clean steel scabbard with a mix of blue and steel patina finish, with minor denting to its surface. Overall a very nice example of the Indian War-Spanish American War service bayonet.
