Original era manufacture. A fairly unusual bayonet in this day and age. Standard design as the issue 45-70 bayonet but about a 2/3 scale. We have placed this bayonet next to a standard example to show the difference. Mix of blue finish and cleaned surface corrosion on the blade with US on the ricasso. The socket shows a heavier concentration of cleaned corrosion, locking ring works properly.
