Original era manufacture. Canvas and leather construction with loops for49 rounds of 45-70 ammunition, with a brass frame buckle. At the bottom of the belt are three brass loops which were intended to provide a mounting point for the early pattern Trowel Bayonet scabbard.Normally these belts were made to accommodate 54 round of ammunition, this one has been trimmed back to fit a smaller soldier.Typicalage and wear, no real issues with damage, Watervliet Arsenal marked on the leather tip.
