Original era manufacture. A solid example of the 1885 pattern cavalry carbine scabbard, which is complete with all straps and fittings. The body is not crushed or flattened, and never oiled. The long strap is present and pliable, the rear seam is still securely sewn.  A sound example overall which has seen honest service use.
