Original era manufacture. First issue US proofed knife and fork, each with a patent date on the handle of Dec.19.82. There is a US proof mark on the knife blade and one on the reverse shank of the fork. The three-tined fork shows lots of cleaned corrosion on its metal surfaces but is generally sound with the markings being visible. The knife is in bettern overall condition. Unmarked examples of these utensils do show up on occasion, we seldom see the US marked examples.
