Original era manufacture. Carried as trimming on the 6 x 6 foot Infantry National and Regimental color, of blue/white braided silk. The 1889 regulations call for these to be "...not less than eleven and one-half (11 1/2 feet)". This set measures 9.5 feet, so perhaps are National Guard. Their condition is near new,  still tied with original QM heavy cotton cord. I would think original sets of cording would be difficult to find. We have two sets at present, this is the cleanest of the two. From an old Southern California Civil War collection.
