Original era manufacture. US M1878 Canteen with a tan canvas cover with US stencil. The canteen is complete with its original cork stopper secured to one of the triangular loops found on each side of the body. It also has the proper narrow pattern original leather shoulder strap with brass fittings. Written on the front of the cover is a previous owners initials WMW. Normal age and wear with some scattered shallow denting to the body.
