Original era manufacture. US M1878 Canteen with a tan canvas cover with stenciled 69.   The canteen is complete with its original cork stopper secured to a triangular loop found on each side of the body.Attached to the canteen is an original period and correct canteen sling, which is quite pliable for its age, no visible markings, but pliable and sound.
